Sydney is a very sweet girl who in one year has been through a lot!  At six months of age she had a very serious break to her leg which was repaired.  She has handled it like a champ! She will not be the hard-core cattle working cattle-dog people think of when they see these dogs – BUT she will be your hiking, camping and canoe buddy for sure!

White and fawn mixed breed with big dark eyes, a smile that stops people mid-stride, and a pink harness she wears like she was born in it. She is house trained, spayed, vaccinated, and wonderful with kids, other dogs, and cats. She came to us with her litter, and one by one her siblings found their people.

She was found the morning of 2/15 (after several people went out to look for her) trembling beside two companions who did not survive. We do not know why her companions were shot and dumped. We do not know why she was left behind, alive but starving, her skin raw and patchworked with lesions. What we do know is this: she deserved none of it.

KEELEY and BECKS

This  bonded pair of "littles" Keeley and Becks have recently come to Maine and are looking for a home together. They are both a year old and about 9 pounds. Becks is most likely a Chiweenie and Keeley may well be a Schnoodle, a cross between a Toy Poodle and a Schnauzer. They are both affectionate and love attention, but Keeley is the more energetic of the two. This is where Becks shines, she loves to play, and that gives Keeley an outlet for her energy!

BAM BAM 
 

6 months old 

He is about 30 pounds, and he is quite the character! He is deaf and also seems to have some mild vision impairment, but aside from being an adorably clumsy puppy at times, it really doesn’t slow him down much at all. He runs, plays, wrestles, explores, and enjoys life just like any other puppy. And this boy has never met a stranger. Kids, adults, new people… Bam Bam is ready to greet just about everyone with paws wide open. He is incredibly friendly, social, and loving.
One thing we have noticed is that Bam Bam can become anxious when someone is holding certain objects — things like a broom, a pool noodle, or similar items. We don’t know his history, so we can only wonder why those things make him nervous. Whatever happened before he came to us, it certainly hasn’t taken away his ability to love people. 
Bam Bam would make a wonderful playmate for another dog because he absolutely loves running and wrestling with the other pups. He is also doing really well with crate training and can hold it while his foster is at work. He may cry for a bit when kenneled occasionally, though, so apartment living probably wouldn’t be the best fit for him.
Bam Bam may need a family willing to understand his little quirks and help him navigate the world in his own way, but in return you’re getting one incredibly happy, affectionate, playful boy. He’s different in a few little ways, but he certainly doesn’t know that — Bam Bam is just waiting for someone to see how special he really is.
