When I sat down to write this column, I put a call out on the Sara Moore Enlightened Horizons Facebook page for submissions. To say I was stunned to realize it was for September is an understatement! Where did August go? Mine was spent packing, moving, getting a hip replacement, and navigating around our four dogs who wondered what the heck was happening! It feels good knowing that I’ll have this month to ease into the first whisps of Autumn. Just a reminder that psychic insight is never a replacement for licensed veterinary care, so please talk with your vet before making any medical decisions! Enjoy!
Kelly M. asked how they can help Jackson, their three-year-old Morkie, as he recovers from ACL surgery. First thing I heard was “Leave me the heck alone!” Then they showed me how I was so worried after my cat had an injury and all I wanted to do was love him up. He made it clear I was overwhelming him, so I gave him some space, and he started purring again. He feels like he’s healing pretty well and he hates the ice but if you can get it on him, it does feel better after!
Diane W. just wanted to check in with her four-year-old French Bulldog Ed. First of all, he LOVES his name and thinks it’s unique! He is so picky with treats, but when you find the right one that’s the only one he wants. I’m seeing something made with sweet potato, but it really tastes like cardboard. LOL! He says if the label says it’s healthy, it’ll do. I don’t think he can handle junk food… I see loose bowels if he eats it. I don’t know if you ever watched The Office, but there’s an episode where Dwight and Michael do parkour. Look it up because your dog says he’s better than them at it and loves bouncing off things when he gets the zoomies.
Cindy S. said, “Did I make the right decision to let our Golden Retriever Bailee go?” I had the biggest urge to exhale when I read your question. She was relieved, and her energy was so low that it was your only viable option. She is grateful and wishes you could feel her energy around! She’s trying to say hello! I’m also seeing a white daisy, which she thinks is as pure and simple as she was.
Daniele B. lost her three-year-old Renley when he was euthanized for biting someone who walked through her door unannounced. “The last thing I told him was I’ll be back to get you buddy. I just want him to know I truly meant what I said and hope he forgives me and is okay.” I’m so sorry you're still carrying the hurt of this, and he is so excited to have a chance to chat with you! He’s fantastic and never ever held it against you, never will. He’s showing me a red popsicle? I see you closing your eyes and asking for the pain of the memory to be lessened. You always did right by him, and he wants you to heal.
Finally, Crystal H. asked if her dog Aldwin’s bumps are cancerous. I’m not a vet, but I hear no when I ask! Definitely follow up to be sure though!
