Welcome to July! Does anyone know what happened to June? Mine was a blur, but the pups have loved their summer swims, chasing fireflies and butterflies in the yard, and playing in their hard plastic kiddie pool. The house has a lingering odor of wet dog, but we’re grateful for the air conditioning. Lois W. asked why her Brittany Spaniel Jasper’s anxiety has been through the roof lately. Your pup is a total empath and feels the energy of the world around him. Tensions are as high as the temperature, and you have created such a peaceful space, but outside your bubble, life’s chaotic. He said no to CBD but yes to calming treats. I’m not sure what they are, but they remind me of the shape of Flintstone Vitamins from my childhood! Also, he prefers to be naked; no collar if and when possible.
Shannon B. lost Muffy Rose, a Shihpoo in January of 2023. “I was tired. I am rested and peaceful over here.” I see fluffy bedding with white linens like it came out of a cotton commercial. I see her lifting her head when she was alive to see what was going on around her but not having the strength to physically check it out. Her energy slipped peacefully from her body, and it was not traumatic for her at all. She says it’s the way life should be at the end. She doesn’t visit much because she knows how hard that would be for you, but she has the same undying love for you that she had when she was in her physical vessel. I am covered in goosebumps as I write that, too! When that happens, she is thinking of you.
Crystal H. said, “Bella died last Mother’s Day, and I want to make sure she was happy and loved. I miss her terribly.” Oh, she sure does! I see her bouncing around when I tap into her energy. I can hear her toenails on the door and a bandana on her head as a joke. This is going to sound weird, but do you have a small rat or hamster as a pet? I see you holding one and letting it nestle into your belly and arms. It feels calming and will help heal your soul. You have to let me know about that!! But Bella says don’t hold your grief in your belly. Let it free and watch it soar to the sky above. Wow. That’s beautiful!
Melissa R. sent in, “Hunter is my ten-year-old Collie. I’m a veterinary technician, and I’d love to know what else I can do to help him feel his best in old man years. The first thing I see is him standing in a doggie bathtub with cool water being gently run over his muscles, targeting the ones on the outside of his hips specifically. Then something being rubbed in, a special shampoo? Do they make doggie shampoos with CBD? I hear he’d love that, but you’re in the right field to know if it’s an option! Less heavy dense food, fluffier looking kibble because it’s easier for him to digest. It may make him gassier though! He’s also requesting a photo shoot with you. I see you sitting on the grass, arm wrapped around him as he snuggles into you. Your head is down and partially in his fur. He likes the graphics of little dots or bubbles on the lower part of it as well.
Darcy G. said that her dog Daisy Mae passed in April, and she’s sorry she couldn’t do more. She was a Puerto Rican rescue Terrier Mix. “Did she find Mandy?” Mandy was standing there waiting for her and that also gives me goosebumps! You did more than enough for your sweet girl, and I have to say you were a perfect pair. It’s like finding a soul mate. She is around you a lot!! I can hear her collar and tags when she is. If you’ve heard that, you’re not making it up! I also see a baby around you, so either you or someone around you may be expecting!
Lastly, Lisa R. asked about her six-year-old Boxer rescue Tommy. “What makes you feel less anxious riding in the car?” This answer cracks me up. My Nonna used to listen to AM talk radio and that’s what I’m hearing. When I ask why it’s because it’s so boring, I’ll zone out, but also your grandmother will be around because she enjoys it, and her energy demands respect.
