Furry Words June 2026

Furry Words June 2026

Are you as excited as I am for June? Hummingbirds are back, chicks are hatching, my chickens are squawking happily in their enclosure, and we get to see vibrant flowers again! Every winter it feels like maybe we’ll never get there, but we also do. Please take the time to wander with your dogs and take in all of Mother Nature’s beauty. We all need the earth to be balanced and healthy, so be mindful in your actions and remind others to do the same. Per usual, I put the call out for your submissions on the Sara Moore Enlightened Horizons Facebook page and you filled it up right away! Just a reminder that I’m a psychic for people and pets and any information relayed by spirit is never a replacement for licensed veterinary care.

Aimee G. asked if her Welch Corgi Stella knew that she did what she thought was best. I see the dog looking at you as if to say, “Do you know that I did, too?” She was trying to help explain to you and the vet what was going on, but much like me, had no frame of reference for medical jargon. You had a few options, but none would have been any better than the one you chose, and she’s grateful that you did end up making that decision. She’s showing me a vintage Christmas Wreath on a door that reminds me of when my parents had a garage sale in the late 70’s. I hope that has relevance for you because she’s staring at it!

Olive ST. asked about her labs Jack and Tessie who both passed last year. “I feel like they’re visiting me often. Are they?” They absolutely are! You make it easier for them to do so by continuing to think about them and talk about them. They say that they are your angel wings who are always by your side. You bring a lot of comfort to others who are processing a loss of a loved one and that is simply beautiful.

Rachael A. wants to know, “Scrappy and Daisy are Maltese, both in heaven. Are they together and who was with them when they transitioned?” I see an elderly set of grandparents greeting them as the door to heaven swung open. They were thrilled to see each other, and it felt like a reunion that was a long time coming. Your grandmother is holding Daisy’s paw and waving it at you! Daisy has the silliest, happiest look on her face, and she looks so vibrant!

Mary P. had Gus, a rescue mix. “He was my soul dog. I want to know if he’s here with me in spirit and if he’s sent us any other of the dogs we have.” Great question! He comes around mostly when you’re introducing a new pup, then stays around for the settling in period to show him the ropes. After that he sits back in heaven and watches him figure out who he is independent of him. I feel like he’s in a webbed folding chair along a parade route taking it all in! He was a good boy. But he was tired and ready to go when his day came. And he says thank you.

Deb J. has a living dog named Lilly. “Does she really understand us when we talk to her?” Yes, but not necessarily word for word. She says she gets the gist of it and sometimes tests you. LOL! Meaning if you tell her to get ducky but she brings a white plastic toy, you say, “Nooooo, silly! Go get ducky!” She’s being a silly kid.
