SoPoDOG Fundraiser a Success
February 13 2009, South Portland, ME – South Portland Dog Owners Group raised over $600 from their First Annual Valentine Homemade Biscuit Sale. The fundraiser was held to benefit the Dog Owners Group education fund. In addition, $1.00 from each order was earmarked for donation to the South Portland Land Trust. The Dog Owners Group education fund will be used to assist the City of South Portland in the education of dog owners of the recent changes to the City ordinance concerning dogs in open spaces. The Dog Owners Group is committed to the education of members of our community concerning responsible dog ownership and to the preservation of access to open space.
