"Puppy Love" Valentine's Day Photos and Microchip Clinic
Show your pet how much you love them by have their picture taken by a professional photographer and get them microchipped at this final event of Presents for Pups. For Dogs Grooming & Boutique is pleased to welcome Keepsake Photography and River Road Veterinarian Clinic to 251 Main Rd, Holden on February 14th from 11-3. Presents for Pups has been collecting dog toys, food and cash donations to be distributed to local animal shelters and food pantries for the months of December and January. Puppy Love will end this year/s campaign.
Valentine's Day Photos
In support of the Presents for Pups campaign, Keepsake Photography will be at "For Dogs" (251 Main Rd) on Saturday February 14th to take your dog's photo. Sitting times are from 11:00 to 3:00pm. Bring the whole family and get a family photograph as a keepsake. The $5.00 sitting fee will be waived for bringing a new dog toy or a bag of dog food. Photos will be available for purchase directly from the photographer with 50% of the proceeds going to Presents for Pups.
Microchip Clinic
Dr. Katie Carter of River Road Veterinary Hospital will be available to microchip your pets. Microchipping is a painless injection of a chip the size of a grain of rice. This chip can be scanned by vets and shelters in the event that your pet is lost. Millions of dogs become lost each year. Tragically, few are reunited with their owners. Many lost dogs end up in shelters where they are adopted out to new homes or even euthanized. It is important that your dog has identification at all times. Collars and tags are essential, but they can fall off or become damaged. Microchipping is the best way to protect your pet with permanent identification. The cost of the microchip and registration with a national database is only $25.
Boutique Discounts and Nail Trims
For Dogs Grooming & Boutique will offer 10% off the entire store during the event. Complimentary nail trims will also be available by Northern Lights Grooming. Diane Cunningham of Paws Down Training Service will be answering your training questions.
All toy donations will be split between the Bangor Humane Society, the Hancock County SPCA, and the Ark in Cherryfield. Food donations will be made to local food pantries.
