3rd Annual Presents for Pups Expands

3rd Annual Presents for Pups Expands to Include Dog Food and Supplies

The third annual "Presents for Pups" will take place during the months of December and January at Renaissance Dogs (127 Main Rd, Holden) and For Dogs: Grooming & Boutique (251 Main Rd, Holden). The campaign will collect new dog toys for distribution to local animal shelters and dog food for local food pantries. Cash donations will also be accepted with all monies going to the purchase of toys and food for the dogs.

"This year we have added the collection of dog food to help local food pantries," said Rebecca Henderson, owner of Renaissance Dogs, "In these hard economic times, we want to help dog owners keep there best friends fed and happy." "Presents for Pups give us a chance to give back to a community that loves their dogs and will often give up their own food to feed them. I hope everyone will consider donating."

The Presents for Pups Food and Toy Drive will run the entire month of December and January. Drop off locations are at Renaissance Dogs and For Dogs: Grooming & Boutique. Stop by Renaissance Dogs, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to drop off your dog toy or food donation this holiday season. For Dogs is open Wednesday through Saturday 9-5 for drop offs. Help us bring joy to the hundreds of animals in area shelters and in our community.

Toy donations will be split between the Bangor Humane Society, the Hancock County SPCA, and The ARK in Cherryfield. Food donations will be distributed to food pantries in the Bangor area.
