Open House, Adoption and Microchip Clinics at the Animal House
The Animal House will be hosting a day of festivities on Saturday, June 28th, in celebration of their new Grooming studio, SUDS! SUDS! will offer full-service grooming for dogs over 20lbs., including clips, cuts and bathing and will also be specializing in cat grooming. SUDS! will also include the very-popular Self-Service Wash, for those who prefer to wash their pets themselves.
North East Rottweiler Rescue & Referral will be at The Animal House Adoption Center from 11am-2pm. According to their website, their mission is to educate with regard to responsible ownership, preserve the Rottweiler breed through education, rescue and placement and to rescue and re-home Rottweilers who are not a detriment to the breed. NERR&R will be featuring Zorro, a 16-month old Rottie looking for a home. Please come in and meet Zorro and feel free to stop by and ask questions about Rotties, the adoption process or the organization. From 2-4pm, Karin Tichy, DVM will be offering a Microchip Clinic for dogs and cats. The fee is $30. Well-behaved, leashed dogs and cats in carriers are welcome. Dr. Tichy will be donating all proceeds from this event to the Humane Society of Knox County.
