Dr. Abby Strobbe Joins Medomak Veterinary Services
Medomak Veterinary Services is very pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Abby Strobbe to its staff. Although sad to see Dr. Calder leave to take a position at Auburn University in Alabama, the staff is thrilled to have found another veterinarian so quickly, and one of such outstanding caliber. According to Dr. Howarth, owner and veterinarian at MVS, "She brings great enthusiasm as well as experience in emergency medicine and a sincere desire rto make her home here in the midcoast area."

Dr. Abigail Strobbe and Dr. Howarth of Medomak Veterinary Services in Waldoboro.
Abby Strobbe started her career in veterinary medicine as a poop-scooper at her hometown clinic when she was fifteen. Despite the work, she loved that first job because she enjoyed the people and liked working with animals.
Strobbe did her pre-vet work at Augustana College, a small college in Illinois, and finished at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she worked at a number of positions, including a Chicago area specialty clinic and, more recently, at Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Hospital. However, she thinks she has finally found her home in "the big red barn."
"Working alongside Dr. Howarth is the most exciting part for me," Dr. Strobbe says, "She is one of the most caring veterinarians I have met, and I am fortunate to work with someone who has so much expereince." Strobbe is eager to work in the intimate surroundings of the midcoast area, to perfect her skills, and expand her diverse interests, which include ultrasound and acupuncture. "This clinic gives me the chance to exlore these great options for our patients and our clients."
Dr. Strobbe & Dr. Howarth can be reached at Medomak Veterinary Services, 563-7786.
