Spay Maine - Help Fix ME Update!
This is reminder that the tax check-off box on your state tax form is called "The Companion Animal Sterilization Fund" and you can use it to donate to the Help Fix ME program. Your donation is tax deductible on next year's taxes. Please consider donating.
The Help Fix ME program is currently out of money. However money is continuously coming in from the pet store fee on the sale of unaltered cats/dogs and will be coming in shortly from the tax check-off. In addition, the state's fiscal year begins in July so the program can begin in full force again on July 1.
The program had a very successful year! From July 1, 2007 through January 31, 2008 the fund spayed/neutered the following:
