Protest for Bandit—UPDATE
We are down to the wire on the upcoming Protest4Bandit demonstration!!!
Just a reminder that this peaceful protest will take place on this coming Tuesday September 11, 2007 in front of the Superior Courthouse in Alfred, ME.
This is a pet-friendly protest as some people have inquired about bringing their pet dogs and I encourage it. Please remember they should be leashed and to bring water and doggie bags! We will meet in front of the courthouse and wait for the arraignment to take place. Arraignments begin at 8:30am but I am asking people to start coming at 7:30am.
Bob Fisk of Maine Friends of Animals or myself will let all know the outcome of the arraignment. Courthouse Security knows we will be there as well as the town police and Townhall. I do have a meeting with the head of security earlier that morning to ensure them that we are there to show support to Bandit's family and to show that Mainers care and are awaiting to see the outcome for the arraignment.
I remind all that we are there to be the voice of our pets, abused & neglected animals and all the Bandits around. This will be a day to remember and we all can make a difference.
Press releases have been sent out and I ask all that can attend, to please do, even if only for a short time. Veterinarians, rescue groups, animal organizations, pet handlers, pet groomers, animal shelters, pet lovers, pet sitters, dog walkers, pet owners and anyone that just wants to show support, should be there.
If you can attend or know people who are coming, please let me know. Bring your friends, neighbors, family and co-workers. I know I know, people work, but if you can make it at all, I will definitely see you there! Please introduce yourself!
Thank you all for being a part of this.
We are their voice...
