Local Kids Get To Spend A Week With Shelter Animals!

Kennebunk—Spaces are still available in the Animal Welfare Society’s Summer Workshop program. Hurry to register and confirm your place because spaces are filling fast. The program runs from July 9th through August 23rd and is available for children ages 7 through 14. The children will have an opportunity to experience life at the Animal Welfare Society with our fun-loving, furry friends. The program has proven to be a rewarding opportunity for the children to actively participate in the care and socialization of the animals, each session runs Monday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm and includes fieldtrips to a local veterinary clinic well as the York Wildlife Center. Each child will receive an Animal Welfare Society T-shirt, a photo taken with their favorite shelter animal, as well as a great hands-on learning experience.

The registration fee is $200 per session. For more information, or to register, please call Barbara Wilkinson, the Humane Educator, at (207) 985-3244 ex. 109.
