April Stools Day in Belfast
It's not often that community volunteers agree to "take s--t," but Friends of Belfast Parks will be doing just that on April 1. Having designated that Sunday as "April Stools Day," FOBP encourages area dog owners to join them in some much-needed spring cleaning. No joke!
"This is a chance to thank the city for welcoming our pets into public spaces and to demonstrate our commitment to being responsible dog owners and park users," says Debbie Hockensmith, vice president of FOBP and organizer of the event.

Beginning at the Boathouse at 1 p.m., the group will spread out through Steamboat Landing, the Commons, and Heritage Park if enough helpers join them. FOBP will supply pick-up and garbage bags.
In case of inclement weather, the cleanup will be postponed till April 15. For more information, call 338-1704.
