Reduced Feline Adoption Fees
Coastal Humane Society
Effective Friday, March 14 Coastal Humane Society lowered adoption fee rates for cats available for adoption. We will waive the adoption fee for any cat age seven and above with an approved adoption application. Any cat age one year up to seven years may be adopted for a $45 fee with an approved adoption application. The customary $75 adoption fee still applies for cats age eight weeks up to one year with an approved adoption application. These reduced rates will remain in effect until a majority of in-house cats are adopted into suitable homes. We are trying to make space for those cats waiting to be surrendered to us and for the expected influx during kitten season. For more information, call 207-725-5051 or visit the CHS website at www.coastalhumanesociety.org.

Rabbit Adoptions
30 Range Road, Brunswick.
Adding a new rabbit to your family around Easter may seem like the perfect holiday gesture. What could be finer than sharing family love with an animal in need of nurturing and warmth? Coastal Humane Society has rabbits in need of homes yet we are aware that holiday adoptions from animal shelters can sometimes be impulse adoptions. That fuzzy little rabbit may not be so adorable when Easter weekend ends and new adopters are faced with the reality of training and caring for their new family pet. Rather than send a pet into his or her new home environment during the Easter weekend, we at Coastal Humane Society are pleased to offer a gift certificate and Pet Promise certicate to anyone interested in presenting a new rabbit to a family member. Each certificate allows the giver to cover the adoption donation while allowing the receiver to select the best match possible after the hoiday weekend. Certificates are suitable wrapping and make a lovely addition to an Easter basket. All rabbit adoptions will be on hold from March 20 through March 23. Adopters with approved applications may adopt a rabbit beginning March 24. The adoption fee for a rabbit is $35. All rabbits will be spayed or neutered before adoption. Call Coastal Humane Society at 207-725-5051 for more information or to pick up a gift certificate.
