The February meeting will focus on training and recording members and their dogs for the Dog Scout Test. A "Winter Walk" is planned for the afternoon - weather permitting. The Downeast Dog Scouts Troop is a membership organization in Hancock County that promotes responsible dog guardianship and increases the awareness of the human/canine bond. Tails on the Trails in Boothbay
Dog owners and walkers can join Barbara Gibson and her two dogs – Baron and Cady – on monthly “Tails on the Trails” walks on Boothbay Region Land Trust preserves, touring a different property each month. For the second walk, owners, walkers and dogs will meet on Friday, Feb. 15 at 9:30 a.m. at the 209-acre Zak Preserve at Wildcat Creek.
