Maine Greyhound Placement Service Adoption Day at The Animal House
372 Main Street in Damariscotta
A representative will be available to highlight the dogs available for adoption, and to discuss the adoption process. According to their website, Maine Greyhound Placement Service (MGPS) is a humane, non-profit organization dedicated to finding loving, responsible homes for retired racing greyhounds that can no longer compete on the racetrack. Ear cleaning and nail trimming are $5 each. Microchipping is available for $25 per pet. As our special to celebrate June as Adopt-A-Cat month, we are offering microchipping for cats at $15. Rabies vaccinations available for dogs, cats, and ferrets at $10 each. Please bring previous rabies certificate if possible. All proceeds benefit the animals at the Coastal Humane Society.
