County Animal Response Team Training
Pine Tree State Arboretum, 153 Hospital St., Augusta
The State of Maine Animal Response Team will be holding a County Animal Response Team training for volunteers interested in animal disaster response.
Basic County Animal Response Team (CART) training is intended to prepared volunteers to begin the process of preparing for animal disaster response in their county. Attendees should pre-register for planning purposes. The class is free and includes continental breakfast and lunch. Class size is limited to 40. Combine obedience, music and dance and you have the joyous dog sport, Canine Freestyle. Carolyn Scott has traveled the globe sharing the joy of the human/canine bond and is making her first appearance in Maine! Come have fun and make a difference at the same time! This is a fundraiser to place service dog Logan with Suzan Morris, a young woman with MS. Suzan, Logan and Logan's My Wonderful Dog puppy raisers will be there cheering you on. Animal Refuge League of Westbrook 3rd Annual Fall Fair
The Barron Center, 1145 Brighton Ave, Portland.
Handmade crafts, knitted and crocheted items, quilts, jewelry, raffles, handmade Christmas gifts and Christmas ornaments, yummy food, pet items and toys, cross stitch pictures, child items, and more.
